I promised pictures a few days ago...what have I been doing? PAINTING! I said I'd paint our bathroom and Michael made sure, knowing that I have a tendency to procrastinate a little bit, that I was ready to paint on Friday:) So, Friday afternoon I started and I finished Saturday late afternoon. The color? It's ok. But man, I did a pretty good job if I say so myself. Will I do it again? Not likely!
So, our drama. Friday morning, Sadie woke up with 102.7. Isn't it supposed to be getting better after a week? I was officially worried. So, off we went at the crack of dawn to the ER because we were told that pediatrics was closed. Thankfully, it was empty, and thankfully pediatrics was seeing emergency patients. Sadie was a trooper. We were in the hospital forever. She hates getting her vitals taken and they did it in the ER and then AGAIN in pediatrics an hour later. Lovely. We saw the dr and decided to do a urinalysis since there wasn't anything we could think of causing the fever....no cold symptoms, no belly issues besides not eating. And they did a catheter. Sadie cried. I cried. It was so hard as a mom to know your daughter was in such discomfort. The urinalysis was clean. She still had a fever. We were stuck. But, Lo and Behold, over a week later, she FINALLY woke up fever free today and her appetite is much better, still not back to normal. Hoping we continue on a fever free path because I would like to avoid the doctor the week before her birthday!
Here are some pics of our trip to NJ...completely out of order!

Nana and Sadie waiting for the train at Van Saun park. She loves the grandkid necklace and names all three of them:)

Skyler and Nana on the train. This was our 2nd time during this vacation because the kids loved it and Skyler really really wanted to go to the playground there. We didn't have time the last time we were there, so we trekked back to Bergen County for the train and playground. They had a great time and it was definitely worth the trip!

This was the best I could do for getting a pic of them together. They never-stop-moving.....

Skyler and I had a mini-date at another playground in NJ. We met some of our old DC friends there and had a great afternoon. It's nice to be able to give Skyler 100% of my attention once in a while!

My very silly and very sweet and very CRAZY boy!!!!
He makes me smile so much.
