It's been a ridiculously long time since I have posted. And I haven't forgotten that I have a ton of pictures to share and stories to tell. Unfortunately, a lot of those stories have already slipped my mind. But I promise, I see a light at the end of the zillions of things I need to finish.

Pumpkin Painting
This is kind of out of order, but I have FINALLY finished catching up on all my pictures:) Ahhh, feels good! Here are some pictures of our pumpkin painting. This year, I had two painters and had visions of what my house would look like when they were through. So, on a beautiful day, I set them up outside and let them be creative without me having to be crazy neurotic about paint getting everywhere. And, it definitely was everywhere! All over the chairs, the grass, their clothing. But, it was a perfect afternoon and we had a really good time. Now....the tough part. Getting rid of these pumpkin masterpieces without tears. Hmmmm, going to take some time to think of a plan. Any ideas??!!!! We have an entire Halloween decoration table that needs to go, but they are both very attached. In the meantime, here are the pics of my two very talented little artists.
Once I finally emerged from my bed when I was not feeling well, this is what I found. Beautiful, right? Thank you Mom!!! All of this ended up in the front as Halloween came closer....and as Sadie started pulling off the flowers and giving them to everyone as gifts....and kicking them over...well, you get the idea! They made our back and front porch look so festive:)

Let the painting begin! Amazingly, Sadie was super organized with the brushes, paints, and the lids. After this picture, she placed every lid by it's color. That's my girl:)

They painted forever. I finally pried the brushes out of their hands.

Yep, still concentrating.

Proud of their finished products!

Until next year.....:)
Halloween Extravaganza
October has pretty much been allllll about halloween...getting ready for it....and then having an insane halloween weekend. I'm ok with not having to hear about it for another year! It was a busy busy weekend that the kiddos loved and are still recovering from. They had 3 halloween parties, plus trick or treating. I have to say that I kind of like having the candy here because it makes a super bribe....works like a charm on both of them! This was Sadie's first official halloween that she participated in...last year she sat in a stroller and cried. She was in awe of the fact that people kept giving her candy and LOVED dressing up in her costumes. Her official comment was, "Mommy, look, another trick or treat!" And Skyler was a pro...all business...but took great care of his sister, made sure "the little munchkin" got her share from each house and helped pick up all of her candy the zillions of times she dropped it. We dragged Skyler back home, but Sadie was pooped and cried the last block. Here are some of the October pictures! Still have one more set to post....
We found that AWESOME farm in Frederick, Gavin Farms. Was loaded with a zillion fun activities for kids and about 1/3 of the price of Butlers.
Farmer Sadie

My family:)

The kids...and Michael...LOVED this slide! Skyler went down by himself without any hesitations. They both kept going down the slide a ton of times until we finally said NO!

Can you tell he likes it?? Sadie is right behind him with a huge smile:)

And again....

Yep, she loved it too!

Her new favorite activity...swinging like a monkey.

We couldn't find Skyler...and then turned to find him in a window....with another family trying to take a picture! So cute...

A very happy boy with rosy cheeks...

There was a 'hay pit'. Skyler LOVED jumping into it. They were all covered from head to toe with hay.

Love this picture...hate that the zipper is in his face:(

Of course, Sadie had to do it too with a little help from Daddy. You know Michael was freaking out because dirt is not his favorite, but he sucked it up for the kids:)

Corn stalk tunnel...

She was in and out a zillion times.

So beautiful:)

The ducky game...had to drag him from this one too.

Driver in training!

Boo:)

We had to walk past the slide on our way out...so, there they go again!

Pumpkin carving...I had to PUSH to get this done....but Michael finally got started, ended up having fun, and a masterpiece to show for it:)

Skyler was thrilled...he had been asking for weeks to carve that pumpkin.

Love this shot...my 3 kids;)

This one cracks me up...makes me wonder what he was saying that annoyed her so much!

Our community Oktoberfest. They each bought a balloon yoyo...yep, you guessed it, lasted less than a day with lots of tears to follow. But he's looking pretty happy here! Silly boy...

Are you surprised she picked purple??? I have to get this child into different colors:)

Halloween party #1---Skyler's school party. They were so excited!

"Look at my pretty ballerina dress!"

Sigh....love this picture:)

Something made her smile at his school's party...but not for long because anyone with a mask FREAKED her out! She didn't quite get it yet...

There were arts and crafts projects in every room and the kids took full advantage of this, did every one:)

The beginning of our freaky October snow storm...who would have thunk it.

Official trick or treating costumes that were saved for this special night. They were sooooo excited and I'm surprised I was able to get any pictures that weren't blurry...in constant motion!

The TRON pose.
Please realize I have 50 layers under this costume because he refused to wear a jacket...I'm surprised he could walk!

My little diva.

Blurry. but kind of cool in a Halloweeny kind of way.
