Sigh..it's Sunday afternoon. I literally begged Michael to have the afternoon to just lock myself in the computer room BY MYSELF! I was hitting my limit and knew that an explosion was soon to come if I didn't get some 'me' time. The kids have been great and there really isn't anything in particular for me to whine about....it's just that I was on overload from my two children who are both feeling very attached and want to spend every waking minute with me. Which I LOVE...but, there are still dishes that need to be put away, and laundry that needs to be done, dinner that has to be cooked, and I actually need to eat a meal once in a while. I find that I'm skipping them a lot lately to keep up with the house and spend as much time as possible with the kids...and eating when they aren't just doesn't work because they end up eating my entire meal! Michael and I were sitting at the kitchen table while the kids were hanging out in the play room. He asked if he should turn on the light and I said NO! That will definitely attract attention...but he did it anyway and the moment it went on, the demands began..."Mommy, I'm hungry! Can I please..... Will you please get me..... Will you play with me? Will you watch a movie and snuggle on the couch? Will you...................................." After that, I just looked at him and he told me I could have the afternoon to myself. Next time? DON'T TURN THE LIGHT ON!
Anyway, last Sunday was the Super Bowl. The kids were crazy excited because Daddy's team was playing. Skyler seemed like such a big boy when he talked about the game. To get ready, Michael made them shirts, Skyler and I baked a cake...blue this time for the Giants, and St. Gada and wife were coming over for the first half. The kids love Dr. Gada and have seriously placed him on a pedestal for only the coolest people. They had a blast playing with our company, had a picnic in front of the tv in the basement, ate some cake, and went crazy.

Another afternoon of playing with the camera. I love Sadie's outfit here...she picked it out.

Skyler has a very difficult time being serious for the camera...always goofing around. I left the ones of him picking his nose out of this batch:) You're welcome.

He actually let me take a serious one!

This picture is for all of my friends out there who make fun of me for always having an orderly house. Yep, this is to prove that it usually looks like a disaster when no one is around!

Sadie was talking to Nana on the phone. She's growing up so quickly and carries on full conversations.

Sadie and Madison have a game together. She feeds Madison 'frozen yogurt' aka, snow, until her little fingers go numb. They both love this. And I love her outfit here too!

I feel like I need to tell the story before you look at these pictures. I went to the bathroom the other day and Sadie followed me in, as usual. She decided she wanted to go pee pee on her potty too. Who am I to argue with that?! So I stripped off her pants and diaper super fast. Business was finished and she took off...started running around the house. I guess not having a diaper felt liberating. She took her shirt off next and was completely naked running around the house squealing. Then, she put on her dress up fuzzy shoes. I couldn't resist. Had to get pictures. But of course I can't post the full nudity pics...had to crop them...except for one I couldn't help but post.
Her 'picture face'.

Pure naked delight.

Sorry Sadie...I just couldn't help it! Check out the shoes.

You know when you have a big bucket of old crayons that the kids don't like using because they are broken, dull, or no longer have paper? We had a ton and I found an idea on pinterest for Valentine's Day. It was a bit more tedious than I thought it would be, but the end product is super cute.
First step, and the most tedious, remove all paper from the crayons.

Here is what we successfully were able to remove.

Cut them into small pieces...another tedious step.

The fun part! Mix them up in a muffin tin...we chose little heart shapes since we were giving these out for Valentine's Day.

Bake them, cool them, pop them out, and voila, awesome heart shaped crayons!

Nana and Papa sent Skyler a very cool puzzle for V-Day. He loves it...it's just challenging enough to keep him on his toes, but he can still complete it.
Of course, he has to deal with his sister's little hands wanting to 'play' too. This kid always has his patience worked by his little sis. But she loves this puzzle too...colorful, fun.

Well, she is 2, can't expect her to always take this puzzle seriously!
She liked how things changed colors when she looked through them.
