My mom had a big birthday this year...65! I can't believe it. It sometimes takes me by surprise that I'm going to be 36 when I still feel 20...in the way that I rely on my parents for a lot and have to remind myself that I am a full adult. a parent. someone that my little people look to for everything. So to think that my mom is 65? Crazy. It still feels like she's 40. Anyway, they came down for the weekend and we celebrated Skyler and Sadie style. They made a brownie cake, we went out to dinner, and I took my mom for a facial at a spa. (which I thoroughly enjoyed myself as well!) It was a low keyed but fun way to celebrate my mom.
Some random pics first...Skyler and one of his millions of lego creations.

I was making breakfast one morning and noticed that it was kind of quiet. No fighting (which is rare). I turned around and found this. They were both under the blanket playing with their electronic things. Made me laugh!

Sadie is beginning to outgrow her naps. She still physically needs them, but mentally, she doesn't want to stop her day to sleep. We were also low on clothes this day because I was doing laundry, so here she is having FINALLY fallen asleep after playing, only to be woken up shortly after to pick up her brother. She's wearing her dance leotard (the only article of clean clothing left) and is snuggled with all of her animals, her dollhouse furniture behind her, and if you look carefully, strawberry shortcake somehow got stuck INSIDE her leotard. Love you Sadie~

The kids baked Nana a brownie cake for her b-day. Skyler asked Papa to help and he just couldn't resist Skyler's charms. Here they are baking! Love Skyler's expression.

Finished:) It is nearly impossible to get them to actually look at the camera when I want them to.

My dad snagged this one. Both dogs waiting for a fallen snack...

Our oh so lovely finished product.

These two pups LOVE each other. This was right before poor Winnie became so sick. So happy she is on the mend.

Like father, like son...
