I have totally been neglecting the blog. But I miss it! I miss seeing pics of my own kids...which means I haven't been able to take any good ones lately. It has been tough because the weather has been COLD! And let's face it, there aren't many exciting things we are doing indoors these days that haven't already been done a ZILLION TIMES THIS WINTER!! But it's Spring...what?? Come on, bring the warm weather again, this is painful for everyone. The kiddos have been sick, but then again, what's new. I think we have been sick for two months straight, literally. It's enough already...really....
Anyway, besides that I was able to take pictures of my friend's pregnancy and her family. It was SO MUCH FUN! I had a great time and left feeling really good. I would post a link but need to make sure it's ok with the family. It's so nice to have something to obsess over other than my children, whom I love, but they need a break from my intensity. I felt so lucky that they allowed me to be part of this special time...and it's not over, I get to photograph their baby both in and out of the hospital. So excited and hope that this is just the beginning.
Skyler....oh my sweet Skyler. He is a piece of work. He is really into the human body. The other day he brought me a human anatomy book and explained how the mammary glands work. Yup, that's my 3 year old. I told Michael to slow down the medical lessons! He has also been attached to my hip for the past few weeks. He goes wherever I go...and talks and talks....and touches.....and loves....and drives me crazy!! Or there are nights that I open my eyes to see him standing right next to me with something to say that just couldn't wait until morning. I asked him tonight why he drives me so crazy. He told me it was because he loved me. Oh geez...he's a mush. He turns me into mush.
Sadie. She is a pistol. period. I wish I could give details, but there are too many to relay. The only one I will write is that we were going to the car today and she FREAKED OUT when I picked her up, god forbid I don't let her do everything herself. She screamed bloody murder as I wrestled her into the car seat. I hopped in the front seat a bit frazzled and I turn around to check that her head hasn't spun off. And she smiles at me and says, "OK, Let's go!!" Humph....
So Skyler's new thing is helping me make salads. He is actually really good at it and it makes a tedious task a bit more fun. Here he is with his first one...not too shabby! This is his, " I love this salad so much" face.
"Really? You haven't gotten rid of them yet?" Madison turns 5 this month...time flies!
I have a brand new lens for my birthday. This is the box it came in. Let's see, how many thingsd can we do with a box....
and these were only what I caught on camera:)
