Life with Kids....

It's been a crazy week! Michael had his, eh ehem, procedure...he's doing great and has been a trooper. It's Skyler that had a hard time dealing with Michael being under the weather. He kept asking when Daddy would feel better and actually started to feel sick himself. It was only after we told him that 'Daddy felt great and much better' that Skyler was happy again. He felt very insecure with Michael not being himself. That was only part of it....Sadie continued to be difficult with a ton of whining and crying all day. I started to get concerned....and started to lose my mind. On top of that, Skyler decided to regress with his behavior. I couldn't understand where our sweet boy had gone...replaced by this deviant little man that actually laughed in my face when he blatantly disobeyed me (and no, it was not nervous laughter). And it wasn't just me...it was his father and his karate coach. I was ready to crack down...but he woke up today and had a perfect day. Go figure....I guess he's 3:) But every time I wanted to just shut down, they would do something to make me think twice. Such as sudden laughter in the back of the car (our minivan is being serviced, so they were in the subaru where they could actually reach each other). I looked back and saw them holding hands and laughing. Skyler topped it off by saying, "look mommy, we are such good friends!". Seriously, these moments are what makes it so great. And then again (I actually caught pics of these), I heard them laughing and went into the room and saw them hugging. That's why I had two...

Last night Sadie was up most of the night, but honestly, I was almost relieved. She had a cold...which meant that it was probably why she has been so crabby these past couple of days...an explanation! Always looking for one:) She's on the mend and will hopefully be back to her old self soon. Needless to say, today was a long one full of crying, but ended with Michael making them laugh and have a blast in the basement before bed:) I seriously love my family...even through these trying days. The lighting is terrible in these pics, but they sum up the good things of our last few days.

I know winter is here when my coat rack looks like this....drive me crazy!

When I know it was a good decision to have two:)...

Um, who does this remind you of? He was studying the toys r us xmas advertisement for a good 1/2 hour. Amazing attention span in the world of a 3 year old....
Sick day...love her and all the snots that come with her:)
